Diversity in the workforce and equal treatment are prerequisites for any successful organization today. In the past year, Symantec has taken steps to ensure that its culture demonstrates diversity, equity, and inclusion at every level of the organization. From company-wide surveys to launching an inclusion council and delivering a leader success module on diversity and inclusive leadership, the company is building a set of tools and practices to better prepare leaders and teams. Symantec has also taken a close look at day-to-day activities to ensure inclusivity is reflected in its practices; some examples include gender-neutral job descriptions, diversity in job interviews, alternative recruiting channels, inclusion-focused teams and diversity, equity, and inclusion dashboards.
In this session, Amy Cappellanti-Wolf, CHRO at Symantec, will explain the practices Symantec has implemented and explain the effectiveness of the “diversity multiplier.” Finally, she will explore how these efforts, combined with a strong talent and workforce strategy, results in amazing dividends for all customers and shareholders.
